The Dream of Water

Dedicated to the intervention of Jean-Michel Othoniel in the heart of the ideal Palace of the facteur Cheval, "Le Rêve de l'eau" is a book of photographs by Philippe Chancel and Jean-Philippe Robin accompanied by texts by Marie Darrieussecq, Frédéric Legros, and Jean-Michel Othoniel. Throughout this singular journey around the Palais, the authors reveal their fascination for the work of the facteur.

For the National Museum of Qatar, in dialogue with Jean Nouvel’s architecture, Jean-Michel Othoniel created a monumental installation of 114 fountain sculptures. ALFA covers the entire surface of the gigantic lagoon that measures 8800m2, and is by far the biggest of all the monumental projects Othoniel has ever created.
This book covers all the creation of this unique installation.

Obsidiana

This book, richly illustrated, prefaced by Johannes Nilo of the Goetheanum and accompanied by a text by Lawrence Rinder, is an ode to matter and presents a new series of works by Othoniel entitled Invisibility Faces.
